Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors recently announced the opening of Condado Tacos, 11383 Parkside Drive in Pinnacle at Turkey Creek, on Thursday, April 6.
“As a part of Condado Tacos growth plan, Knoxville, Tennessee, is one of many new cities opening (a Condado) in 2023,” said Chris Artinian, Condado president/CEO. “Knoxville is a constantly evolving city looking for the newest and trendiest concepts. One can also find a Condado Tacos in Nashville, Tennessee, as well.
“Since 2014, the Ohio-based restaurant has featured unique tacos, margaritas and tequilas — all served in a colorful, energetic atmosphere,” said Gaby Walsh, marketing associate with Pinnacle Turkey Creek and Crawford Square.
Known for more than just its tacos, each restaurant is curated with murals by local artists to encourage patrons to feel connected and soak up the local vibe, Walsh said.
The Turkey Creek location will have four original murals painted by a team of local Tennessee artists: Johnson Giles, Curtis Clover, Perry Hodson, Megan Lingerfelt, Will Lunsford, Chance Losher, Adam Pernell, Shaun Ridge and Shane Sandberg.
In addition to the eclectic atmosphere, “Condado offers a variety of clean, fresh and preservative-free menu options, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free tacos,” Artinian said. “The renowned queso and Lucy’s Fire tacos are also at the top of the list to try on the menu.”
The 4,472-square-foot restaurant is located adjacent to Alumni Hall and will feature an extended patio with outdoor seating for up to 84 patrons. Its indoor dining seats more than 150.
“We couldn’t be more excited to open our first Condado Tacos … at the Pinnacle at Turkey Creek,” Artinian said. “At Condado, we offer craveable and flavorful tacos, dips and margs and provide our guests with a delicious, full-service dining experience that matches your speed, at the best value anywhere, for under $20.
“We look forward to serving the community with our delicious food, drinks and unique murals and culture of ‘come as you are,’” he added.
The new addition to Pinnacle at Turkey Creek is one of many anticipated in the next 12 months.
“Condado Tacos is the latest positive step in the evolution of the shopping center,” said Mary Beyer Lell, head of leasing for Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors. “… Condado Tacos will definitely become a staple restaurant for the area.”
During the grand opening celebration, the first 100 people in line when the doors open at 11 a.m. will be awarded a “Year of Yum,” free tacos for a year and a limited-edition artist designed T-shirt. Additionally, all guests will receive a free taco with purchase that day.
About Condado Tacos
“Condado has perfected the build-your-own model by letting guests choose exactly what they want — from the toppings to the proteins, all the way down to the creatively-stuffed taco shell and double deckers,” Artinian said.
The restaurant opened in 2014 with its first location in Short North near The Ohio State University in Columbus.
An award-winning restaurant chain, Condado has grown to 41 locations in 15 markets, also including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Lexington (Kentucky), Pittsburgh and Charlotte — with at least 12 more on the way in 2023. It recently was named “Breakout Brand of the Year” by FSR magazine.
“Condado Tacos prides itself on fresh, high-quality ingredients and its vibe is embracing the community while celebrating the individuality of its staff and its guests.”
