Carhartt might be best known in Knoxville because former mayor and current congressman Rep. Tim Burchett frequently sports one of its iconic jackets.
If you’re a fan of the Michigan-based retailer’s workwear, soon you’ll have a new place to shop its entire line, with Carhartt set to open a new store in Pinnacle at Turkey Creek, at 11379 Parkside Drive.
The grand opening will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 26, said Gabi Walsh, a marketing associate for leasing agent Crawford Square. Carhartt will be giving away a custom T-shirt to the first 1,000 guests, and Pinnacle at Turkey Creek will also be doing a gift card giveaway, Walsh said.
The store is “5,000 square feet of pure Carhartt magic,” she said. “We’re really excited to have them be a part of our family.”
Walsh walked through the new Carhartt store while they were unboxing stock, and said she spotted a lot of diverse options, including many Carhartt accessories that previously would only have been available for Knoxville shoppers online

“There really is something for everybody,” Walsh said.
The Knoxville location will be only the second company store in Tennessee, with the only other location opening in Nashville last year. Of course, the brand can be found at more than a dozen retail stores in town, including Mast General Store, Boot Barn and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Pinnacle at Turkey Creek has announced several other openings this year, most recently Athleta and Mountain High Outfitters. Other stores that have moved into the center include Burlington and PGA Tour Superstore.
