Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors is a full-service, privately held real estate firm based in Birmingham, AL. Crawford Square specializes in retail and mixed-use assets in the Southeastern United States. Each property requires a different set of solutions to produce the desired outcome. Crawford Square currently leases and manages 47 properties in 9 different states totaling over 10 million square feet.
The Internship:
The selected candidate will join the Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors team twice a week in the Birmingham, Alabama office. The program will provide the student with an opportunity to be a part of the leasing team. The candidate will be exposed to multiple facets of retail leasing and brokerage. The candidate is a driven individual who has a desire to learn and get real world experience. The candidate will be required to work 35 hours a week with no overtime. The employer will be flexible and easy to work with when it comes to scheduling and any issues which may arise. The program will also provide the selected candidate with the experience that they need to continue to grow and advance their real estate career.
Projects
- Update market studies for the following markets: Alabama (Metro Birmingham, Highway 280, Auburn, Hoover, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Eastern Shore/Baldwin County), Raleigh NC, Wake Forest NC, Asheville NC, Conyers GA.
- Create in depth bulleted pitch notes for assigned properties (i.e. data, research, market analysis, demos)
- Assist in tracking down correct contacts for prospective tenants
- Create email templates for assigned properties to send to prospective tenants
- Manage our sales and leasing comp map and spreadsheet
- Complete a merchandising plan and prospect list for assigned properties
- Work with Property Managers locally to get vacant lockboxes consistent and have all vacancies in show ready condition
- Identify contact information for single and multi-tenant building opportunities for new business in the Florida panhandle
- Update Co-Tenancy tracker for all new properties.
- Help identify sites and contact information for property owners.
- Identify new opportunities in target markets for potential tenant rep clients
- Create a YouTube page for videos of our vacant spaces that we use to send links to prospects.
- Create a tenant sales spreadsheet to track performance of restaurants and retailers outside of our portfolio.
